Reg 4.5(3)(a) Comprehensive 6 and 8 Online Training for Certified Handlers
DGC Training’s online course for classes 6 and 8 (toxics and corrosives) comprises three modules. Each module has a particular focus which contains comprehensive content that is designed to meet the requirements of 4.5(3)(a) training from the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.
Reg 4.5(3)(a)
is what we refer to as ‘Core Training’. Core Training covers the topics listed in the regulations and provides the user with the information and instruction they need prior to undertaking any actions involving hazardous substances in the workplace. The benefit of our training is that it can be completed online, anytime using a smartphone or computer. We avoid the use of industrial language, instead opting for plain English, meaningful videos, and incorporate pictures that reinforce main concept so that the users can fully absorb the content.
Because 6 and 8 substances pose the most danger to a person’s health and safety in the workplace we offer a course that is comprehensive and aimed at ensuring the users has obtained the highest degree of competency and confidence about how to keep themselves safe before they commence work using such substances. Knowledge is power and we strive to deliver information that is useful, effective, can be applied on the shop floor, and is fun and interesting to learn. Critical aspects of training for a person required to obtain certified handler’s certificate is the practical training provided by their employer which should cover in great detail all the procedures, including correct use of PPE, which are intended to create a safe work environment.
