When is 4.5 training required?
If your business involves hazardous substances, all workers handling, storing, disposing, or managing hazardous substances need to be trained.
The relevant regulation is regulation 4.5 of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.
Certifiers must verify that 4.5 training has been completed.
The way certifiers refer to the required training is “4.5 training.”
Regulation 4.5 has specific requirements for the content of training materials.
